Spyderco's Military Model is a cornerstone in the Save and Serve lineup, born from a simple question posed to owner Sal Glesser: "If your son joined the military, what folding knife would you send him with?" This knife had to be high-performance, lightweight, and designed for heavy-duty use. The blade is crafted from CPM S30V and CPM S110V steel, chosen for their excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance.

Featuring a modified clip-point blade with a 14mm Round Hole for quick deployment, the 'Millie' includes texturing above the hole to ensure a secure grip when cutting. The handle scales are made from G-10, with the liner lock nested directly into the scale to enhance strength without adding bulk. Spacers between the scales create a gap along the handle's length, allowing for easy inspection and cleaning of the internal mechanisms.

The handle also includes a finger choil at the front and a flared butt end to prevent slippage during intense cutting tasks. A contoured black metal clip allows for right-hand tip-down carry.
