The Delica 4: A Reliable High Performance Knife

Since its debut in 1990, the Delica has been a staple in Spyderco's product lineup. Alongside the Endura, it led the way in creating lightweight, clip-carry, one-handed folding knives and helped popularize fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) as a handle material.

In 2006, the Delica underwent a complete redesign, resulting in the current Delica 4. The handle features skeletonized stainless steel liners within FRN scales with Spyderco's Bi-Directional Texturing pattern for a secure grip while minimizing weight.

Various versions of the Delica 4 have been introduced over the years, including models with a saber-ground blade, an Emerson opening feature for quick deployment, a flat-ground blade with premium ZDP-189 steel, and flat-ground VG-10 blades with different colored FRN handles.
