The ManBug, designed by Spyderco's founder Sal Glesser, is a uniquely practical folder. Throughout the years, Glesser has carried a wide range of knives produced by Spyderco, including prototypes and special models. Despite the assortment of knives available to him, the one he carries most frequently is the Spyderco LadyBug - a small, clipless folder known for its exceptional cutting ability. In pursuit of Constant Quality Improvement (C.Q.I.), Glesser decided to enhance the LadyBug and create a more versatile option for individuals who may have felt uncomfortable carrying a "LadyBug." This led to the development of the ManBug, a compact cutting tool that is more suitable for larger hands while still being discreet enough to carry in a pocket or on a keychain.
